CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home, and Community)
Overview
This course is for those who wish to work as a care/support worker in the aged care sector in a community and/or residential setting providing person-centred support. It would suit job seekers or those looking to change careers.
This qualification requires successful completion of 13 units of competency consisting of 7 core units and 6 elective units. The elective units have been selected based on industry best practice, industry requirements and the specialisation and work outcome.
To achieve this qualification, students must have completed at least 120 hours of direct support work in an aged care or community service organisation as detailed in the assessment requirements of the units of competency. This will be arranged by the team at AICE as part of the program.

On successful completion of the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) students may progress to the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competency (RCC)
You may apply to have formal study and / or skills and knowledge assessed for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Recognition of Current Competency (RCC). Students are provided the opportunity for RPL during the pre-course meeting.
